The ”e-Government Portal of Kefalonia”
Participation of the Informatics Department at the research programme “Electronic Portal for the service of the S. Kefallinia’s Citizens” (e-Government Portal of Kefalonia). The programme “Electronic Portal for the Service of the S. Kefallinia’s Citizens” is being funded in the 3rd Community Support Programme (Measure 2.1 electronic government for the consumers service: business plans, studies and pilot works. Act category 3: innovative and pilot applications) and its goal is to develop and enforce a unified completed system of electronic government (e-government) in order to cover the needs of the citizens in the Kefallinia district.
Among the expected programme’s acts, that the department of Informatics of the Ionian University is responsible as a Sub constructor, are the design and development of software. Through this software the dispatch of functions and matters of different departments of the Appointed Authority independently by each department will be possible with the ease of use that a unified informatics system provides. The software are connected with departments at Organizations of Local Self-Government (OTA) level (ex. managing issues of the mayor’s office/alderman’s office, conferences/ decisions of the city council etc) and with services of amongst-regions cooperation.
