Summer School 2010 “Innovation and Modelling In Bioinformatics & Biotechnology”
The new realizations of science through the plethora of Biotechnological applications, enriched and combined with the possibilities of Bioinformatics, seem to illustrate a phenomenon of this century. The convergence of applied and humanistic sciences require a more sophisticated way on achieving solutions, demanding from the young scientists to familiarize themselves with the process of modeling and simulating innovated ideas, techniques and products. Nowadays, the inquiring multidimensional collaborations are materialised by three components: the team that knows the particularities of problem, the team that will model the problem and the team that will simulate it. The interaction of these three teams during the resolution of problem, leads to innovative solutions which are usually adopted and materialised, according to the expected profit. It is expected that during the proposed Summer School, concrete examples will be presented and their structure will be analytically studied while new and modern methods of creating innovated applications will be examined. Participants will have the chance to review:
- Advanced topics from Mathematical Biology and Bio-Algorithmic techniques
- Mathematical Modelling from real-life biological problems and its interaction with programming and simulation.
- Special topics from Artificial Intelligence and RFID applications
- Review of Bio-Programming Languages and Biological Databases
