Purpose of the direction:

The direction "Bioinformatics and Computational Intelligence" is aimed at students who wish to delve deeper into the intersection of advanced Information Technologies that deal with the solution of complex and multiparametric problems, such as Artificial and Computational Intelligence, Simulation, Modeling, Stochastic Analysis and Modern Computational Models, with applications in Life Sciences, Health, Biomedicine, Human Language and Speech, Knowledge Bases.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of the program, students

  • have become familiar with cutting-edge technologies that use Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative Artificial Intelligence, Molecular and Quantum Computing algorithms
  • have been trained in stochastic analysis, simulation and modeling technologies
  • have been trained in the analysis, formatting, preprocessing, transformation, representation, and processing of biological and medical, as well as humanistic, environmental and social data
  • have learned to design and carry out predictive and descriptive knowledge mining processes from data
  • have learned the concepts and technologies of Knowledge Representation, Semantic Processing and Analysis, as well as Knowledge Systems Management
  • have learned to design, implement and evaluate applications and systems that apply the above technologies.
  • have learned to analyze clinical, genomic and proteomic data with bioinformatics methods for the study of biological systems and diseases
