The following special issue, of which we are the guest editors will be published in "Computation" (ISSN 2079-3197, http://www.mdpi.com/journal/computation), and is now open to receive submissions of full research articles and comprehensive review papers for peer-review and possible publication.

This special issue shall shed light on new developments and implementation of soft computing in the fields of engineering, applied science and theoretical research. All interested researchers, academicians, engineers and scholars are invited to submit current research works in the field of artificial intelligence, including relevant applications in solving optimization and modeling challenges using computational intelligence.

Based on the quality of the work presented, selected papers of the workshop will be invited for consideration, in a revised and extended form, for inclusion in the following Special Issues
