Postponement of Erasmus+ Incoming and Outgoing Mobilities - students and staff- for Spring Semester 2020-21 due to COVID-19

The academic calendar for the year 2020-2021 is published with dates on tuition, exams and holidays.

The Humanistic & Social Informatics Laboratory (HILab) of the Department of Informatics of the Ionian University organizes the "15th International Workshop on Semantic and Social Media Adaptation & Personalization (SMAP 2020)", in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

The Ionian University invites all interested parties to participate in the final conference of the POLYSEMI project, which will take place on October 15th, 2020, as a fully virtual online event.

The 4th World Congress on Geriatrics and Neurodegenerative Diseases Research “GeNeDis 2020″ entitled ‘Health in Aging and Mental Wellness in the new digital era’ will be held exclusively online, 8th to 11th October, 2020. GeNeDis 2020 is oranized by the Bioinformatics and Human Electrophysiology Lab (BIHELab) of the Department of Informatics, Ionian University, under the patronage of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Mrs Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

The Academic Senate of Ionian University (Corfu, Greece)  has made the difficult decision to postpone all incoming and outgoing mobilities scheduled for the Winter Semester of the academic year 2020-2021 to the next Spring Semester or the next academic year, due to COVID-19. Following the recent developments on COVID-19 current outbreak, we would like to inform you that for the moment no cases have been confirmed inside the academic community of Ionian University. However, Ionian University is undertaking specific preventative measures based on the Ministerial decisions issued on the temporary closure of all schools and universities in the country.

The Department of Informatics of the Ionian University has the pleasure and honor to participate in the event organized by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) entitled "200 Years from the Greek Revolution: Conversing with History today" within the framework of the Action "Science and Society - 200 Years from the Greek Revolution".

The Department of Informatics of the Ionian University organizes a "Literary Week" within the framework of the project "Park of Literary Travels in Greece and Magna Graecia - POLYSEMI". The program is co-funded by European Union, European Regional Development Funds (E.R.D.F.) and by National Funds of Greece and Italy.
