ICT as a means of knowledge, research and learning in the various disciplines. Basic concepts and terminology of the Teaching of Information Technology. Traditional teaching approaches and approaches based on modern theories of learning, learning difficulties in basic concepts of IT, examples of lesson plans and activities. Course organization: teaching models, didactic objectives, expected outcomes, instructional techniques and design of teaching.
Evaluation: objectives, functions, evaluation tools, feedback. Teaching problems and formative interventions using ICT. Teaching ICT to people with disabilities. Exploitation of the Internet for students’ education and longlife training. Distance learning via new technologies.
Acquaintance with basic pedagogical considerations. Informatics in education. Policy and degree of IT integration in education in Hellas and other European countries.
